ERT Ireland were honoured to be asked to act as 'Controller' (Judge) at the 20th Anniversary of Grimpday rope rescue competition in Belgium. Grimpday is up there with the superbowl of rope rescue competitions. With over 30 teams each year facing 12 full scale rescue scenarios, designed to test and challenge teams technical skills, medical capabilities, teamwork and leadership (as well as their fitness and patience!!!)
AHD training
Artificial High Directional Training (AHD's - Quadpods, Tripods, Bipods, Monopods, Gin Poles). ERT Ireland is now an ATP (Authorised Training Provider) for the CMC Arizona Vortex.

Customised Confined Space Training
Working with 'The Safety Practice', we had a very specific confined space to manage. Solutions were found after listening carefully to the clients needs. Clean Space technologies are cutting edge PAPR's (Powered Air Purifying Respirators).
R2CAS
The Rope Rescue Challenge Alliance Symposium brings together all the major global rope rescue events, with the mandate of improving standards globally, sharing knowledge and increasing safety. ERT Ireland were key note speakers at the 2026 Symposium in Budapest, delivering five technical presentations over the week to delegates from China, Hungary, Spain, USA, Slovenia, Belgium, Taiwan, Japan and Chile. We are also signatories of the R2CAS MOU. They also assisted with the safety and judging at the Budapest Rope Rescue Challenge.
2026 saw the fourth edition of Reeve n' Rescue take place in Croke Park Stadium.
6 challenging scenarios including confined space rescue from armoured vehicles, trauma care on the water and machine assisted CPR whilst ventilating a 'victim' rescued from behind the big screen.
