Rescue or Access?
= Rescue
Lets be very clear, Rope Rescue and Rope Access are two very different disciplines. Whilst there is some cross over between them, Rope Rescue is all about the patient and their care.
Everyone at ERT Ireland is trained for rescue, that is our expertise, gained across Europe, China and Africa. We have been putting it into real life practice for almost 30 years and we are passionate about it.
Know the difference
The International Technical Rescue Association (ITRA), the standard we teach is designed for rescue professionals.
Other standards like IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) are not for rescue. (IRATA's own code of practice says it is not suitable for Rescue Work or Rescue Training).
